Amanda has lived a life of service starting from a young age. Amanda grew up with a single mom who wanted to instill service in Amanda. Amanda started volunteering as young as 4 years old with homeless outreach programs in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout Amanda’s life, she’s learned that she has a natural ability to connect with people, in which this ability has led her to find ways to help reduce others’ suffering. Amanda attended college in Hawaii, receiving her bachelor's degree in public health. In Hawaii, Amanda continued to support others in need and worked with many indigenous populations focusing on community health needs. Amanda has also dedicated her time to supporting global communities with their population health needs. Amanda received her master's degree in public health from A.T. Still University. Amanda has spent her time working in mental health, behavioral health, and public health, and currently works in Southern California, assisting health care systems and her communities on improving cancer care services.
